Every woman wants smooth, glossy, frizz -free shiny hair. Especially if it’s long. Those of us who have curly hair, especially appreciate it when our hair is frizz-free.

So when we see these celebrity pictures of smooth, flowing locks, we wonder, how does hair do that? How can we do it ourselves?

The polished style that Kate wears with its subtle movement and loose locks has the nickname, the “Chelsea Blow Dry”, after the Chelsea-based-hairdresser, Richard Ward. Other celebrities who love this style are Elle Macpherson and Kelly Brook.

Your hair should be one length to start with. Long layers are the key to this look because according to Richard Ward, they give free-flowing hair lots of movement- if the layers are too short you don’t get that kind of fluidity throughout the cut. Ward advises that stylists should aim for a side-swept, chin-length fringe and then gently graduate to longer layers.

The “Kate” style doesn’t require as much maintenance as other styles.

It’s proving popular with so many people because you don’t have to cut every six weeks as usual, you can actually get 12 weeks out of this cut.

Ward says that a trim is ideal every 8 weeks but the style can actually last up to 12 weeks.

The trick to the glossy gorgeous hair for celebrities is Keratin treatments. Ferro Hair Art offers Liquid Keratin Treatments and products in our salon.
Keratin treatments are intense and totally transform “unruly” or frizzy hair.

Keratin treatments restore sleekness and sheen to hair by infusing hair follicles with keratin, which is actually a natural protein found in the hair.

Keratin treatments are popular because they also help decrease the amount of time it takes to blow dry your hair.

Treatments can last up to 4 months.
To protect your style, you should have a consistent hair care routine. Use a quality shampoo and conditioner, like those offered by Kerastase. If you have fine hair, it’s okay to wash your hair every day. If you have thicker hair, wash your hair every other day to preserve moisture.
